Job Summary:

The role of a Land Surveyor Technician is to assist the Party Chief Land Surveyor in determining the location and measurement of points, elevations, line areas, and contours for construction projects and other field surveying.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Complete topographic survey with assistance from Party Chief Land Surveyor

• Able to work approximately 95% of the time in the field and work in all weather conditions and terrains

• Keep accurate notes, records, and sketches of project(s)

• Place stakes at designated points and drive them into the ground

• Operate survey equipment and Personal Protective Equipment

• Communicate effectively and efficiently to team members

Qualifications:

• Previous land surveying experience is preferred, but not required

• Knowledge of GPS equipment and Total Stations preferred

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans preferred

• Ability to be flexible with workload demands including overtime hours

• Ability to travel during the work week with the occasional overnight travel

• Valid driver's license required
